KPN will also be an official partner of the KPN eDivisie for the next 3 seasons

REredivisie CV and DreamHack Sports Games are delighted that KPN will still be the Official Naming Partner of the gaming competition for the next three eDivisie seasons. The continuation of this successful partnership will also be evident from the visual identity that the competition will promote from season 2023/24 onwards: yellow is going to make way for KPN green.

Last season, the KPN eDivisie achieved millions of views, the highest number in its six-year history, and also an exponential growth in new social-media followers. This shows that gaming and esports have become an integral part of today's youth culture. KPN understands this like no other, which is why the partnership with the KPN eDivisie is being extended for another three years. To emphasize this, the original yellow 'eDivisie color' will be replaced by KPN’s characteristic fresh green color as of this season.

“We are proud to be extending our partnership with the KPN eDivisie,” says Mark Versteegen, the Sponsoring Director at KPN. “In recent years, we have seen the KPN eDivisie’s YouTube and Twitch streams win an undeniable place in the hearts of young viewers and gamers. This development has been nothing short of spectacular and we are determined to give gamers and fans the speed, reliability and quality they deserve. Our super-fast fiber internet and 5G guarantee the very best gaming experience.”

“Besides being a professional gaming competition, the KPN eDivisie is also an innovative platform where young fans of football clubs come together and the link between the Eredivisie and gaming is established in an entertaining way. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to continue working with KPN, DreamHack Sports Games and all the Eredivisie clubs to build a valuable brand for all our fans and stakeholders," says Jos van Helvoirt, Content Manager for the (e)sports Eredivisie at the Eredivisie CV.

The KPN eDivisie is flourishing like never before
In mid-2022, the brand strategy for the KPN eDivisie was updated in collaboration with KPN and DreamHack Sports Games. Besides facilitating a professional gaming competition, the parties involved will commit themselves fully to the publication of attractive and entertaining social content formats. Thanks in part to this change of course, the KPN eDivisie is flourishing like never before. Last season, it achieved the highest number of views in its six-year history and also an exponential growth of hundreds of thousands new social-media followers.

Every month, (e)players from the Eredivisie clubs go viral in Instagram and TikTok videos that are watched by millions of social media users. The combination of entertainment and reporting in the KPN eDivisie broadcasts is paying off; images of the competition have been viewed more than 10 million times. Combined with other content, there have been more than 50 million views.
