KPN invests in application security and digital collaboration

Through its investment fund, KPN has invested in two promising startups active in the field of application security and digital collaboration. Both API Security provider Cequence and collaboration platform Qollabi recently received capital from KPN Ventures. Both start-ups can offer an important addition to the business market.

“With our investment fund, we invest in promising startups and scaleups and that works both ways,” says Wouter Stammeijer, Chief Strategy & Development Officer at KPN. “On the one hand, this allows us to accelerate the development of startup ideas, products and applications. As a result, these young companies can grow and mature even faster. But we’re also strengthening our own offering to our customers. Because through cooperation and smart partnerships, we can continue to improve our product offering with even more creativity and a relatively short time-to-market.”

For example, Cequence’s API Security solution can make a major contribution to protecting the applications of KPN’s business customers. Cequence’s comprehensive analytics platform offers a full palette of solutions for discovering, categorizing, and protecting applications. In this way, organizations and users are protected against a surge in API-targeted cyber-attacks on internet, mobile, and IoT applications.

Qollabi provides a platform that allows companies to collaborate easily with, for example, franchise offices and sales partners in an action-oriented way. This offers a solution for companies seeking to professionalize, scale up, automate and, for example, to successfully execute quarterly plans together with sales partners. Qollabi’s software gives KPN the opportunity to significantly strengthen and further digitalize its collaboration with sales partners in the SME segment.
