Looking back on the jubilee year of KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds
The KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds celebrated its 15-year anniversary in 2022 with several special projects. From a ‘Pink Christmas Dinner’ in the Concertgebouw to visiting the Dutch national football team with FC Mooiste Contact. From Easter lunches for carers of people with dementia to the Mooiste Contact Days in the Rijksmuseum. Resulting in thousands of happy and connected guests and KPN volunteers!
For large groups of people, social contact does not come naturally. The elderly, people with disabilities, children who can’t go to school because of illness, there are countless examples where help is desperately needed to stay in touch. KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds brings people in contact with the world around them. For fifteen years!
In 2022, the fund connected thousands of people to the world around them. For example, 700 carers of people with dementia were treated to an Easter lunch at the football stadiums of several Eredivisie clubs in cooperation with Alzheimer Nederland. And FC Mooiste Contact and the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) took hundreds of people to matches of the Dutch national team. Hundreds of children who cannot be physically in school very easily due to serious or chronic illness were able to be digitally present in the classroom thanks to KlasseContact. We ended the year with the KPN Mooiste Contact Days in the Rijksmuseum and a Pink Elderly Christmas Dinner in the Concertgebouw with KPN Pride.

By doing more together, experiencing together, and sharing beautiful moments with each other, we give loneliness less of a chance. That is what the KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds has been aiming at for fifteen years and I am extremely pleased that we have done our bit again in this regard in 2022.”
KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds
The Mooiste Contact Fonds is a KPN initiative. The fund was established in 2007. With the fund, KPN supports initiatives by various social partners that are aimed at stimulating social contact for vulnerable groups in society. For various reasons, some people have less connection to the world around them than they would like. Consequently, they face the risk of social isolation. The KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds deploys ICT, resources and people to do something about this.luiting bij de wereld om hen heen dan ze zouden willen. Daardoor ligt sociaal isolement op de loer.
