ESPN remains free for football fans with KPN

With the kickoff of the new  Vriendenloterij Eredivisie season, KPN enhances the football experience for customers. KPN has signed a new agreement with ESPN for the coming years and consciously chooses to keep ESPN available for free through Combivoordeel. Those who don't watch football, therefore, do not automatically pay at KPN. And those who do watch football get ESPN without an extra 'football tax': no mandatory €2.50 per month on top of the subscription to continue following football.

Additionally, from August 6, KPN customers will receive a free upgrade to UHD quality on all ESPN channels. Customers with a TV+ Box or TV+ Soundbox can watch their favorite club with sharper images, more detail, and more vibrant colors at no extra cost. The upgrade applies to ESPN on channels 14 and 221 to 224.

Football is about emotion, tension, and experience. With UHD, KPN brings supporters even closer to the match: details on the field and during decisive moments are more visible.

During matches, customers receive goal alerts from other Vriendenloterij Eredivisie matches and can watch exclusive summaries via KPN TV+. Customers can also watch ESPN live on the go via the KPN TV+ App on their mobile phone.

Combivoordeel is for customers who combine multiple KPN services. They receive extras that match their preferences, such as ESPN for football fans or one of the other benefits within Combivoordeel. KPN will keep ESPN available for free for customers who choose it in the coming years. Preferences change? Then the benefit changes easily with it.
