KPN launches new international bundles for holidaymakers outside the EU

With the holidays just around the corner, KPN is introducing 13 new international bundles for popular holiday destinations outside the European Union. Existing bundles are also being significantly increased. With these bundles, customers can enjoy affordable internet access, video calling, and messaging back home. The international bundles cover 80 percent of global roaming traffic. This also offers holidaymakers the freedom to stay connected without worrying about high internet costs. The bundles are easily activated via the MyKPN app or text message.

"People don't want to worry about high bills when they're on vacation. With our new bundles, you can also use our trusted services at your holiday destination outside the EU. Whether it's video calling with loved ones back home or searching for the most authentic restaurant, now the entire household can be happy even when on vacation outside the EU", says Robin Clements, EVP Consumer Market at KPN.

KPN has examined which countries outside the EU are currently the most popular destinations. New bundles have been added for Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia. In addition, the data allowance of existing bundles for the US, Canada, Morocco, and Turkey has been increased. In the coming years, KPN will continue to evaluate the most suitable bundles for various destinations.

Safe internet use on holiday
Fearing high bills, holidaymakers opt for local Wi-Fi networks they're not always sure are trustworthy. Thanks to international bundles, they can simply use the best local network, reducing the risk of fraud. This allows travellers to enjoy their holiday worry-free. At holiday destinations within the EU, "roam like home" applies, meaning internet access costs the same as at home.

No surprises afterwards
When their bundle is running low, customers receive a text message alert. This eliminates unexpected charges. Bundles are valid for 31 days from the date of order. A new bundle can be ordered before the old one runs out or expires.

Bundle up and go
The new bundles are available for various countries and can be easily activated before your departure, for example at Schiphol Airport, via the MyKPN app or by text message. More information about the bundles and rates is available on the KPN website.

The new destinations have also been added to the discount bundles for businesses. These bundles can be easily activated by administrators in MyKPN Business .
