KPN introduces TV+ Soundbox – TV receiver and speaker in one

Today, KPN is launching a new product: the KPN TV+ Soundbox. A compact TV receiver and (smart) speaker with powerful sound in one. With audio design by Bang & Olufsen and sound in Dolby Atmos®, you can experience your favorite film, series and sports match as if you were there with the KPN TV+ Soundbox. This sleek all-in-one solution makes having multiple devices redundant and offers a user-friendly and accessible way to enjoy the best entertainment at KPN.

Compact and powerful: TV receiver and speaker in one

With the TV+ Soundbox, KPN makes enjoying your favorite entertainment in Dutch living rooms a lot easier. No more hassle with separate devices, but just one compact box for good image and sound. Robin Clements, CMO consumer market KPN, explains: "We saw a clear need in a survey among our customers: a simple way to enjoy good sound with their entertainment, without the complexity of many products and functions. We are responding to this with the TV+ Soundbox. It offers an easy way to enjoy good sound, without the need for all kinds of extra stuff. The device is designed to fit into any interior, and you can connect it in no time by placing it next to your TV. This way you can immediately enjoy impressive image and sound from one central location."

All your entertainment in one device

The KPN TV+ Soundbox is more than just a sound upgrade. It brings all your entertainment together in one smart device. Razor-sharp images thanks to Dolby Vision®, 4K Ultra HD and HDR support ensure that every scene comes to life. With Google Assistant you can control the TV with your voice, for example by saying "Hey Google, turn on the TV". Streaming content from a phone or tablet is easy via Google Cast, even when the TV is off. The TV+ Soundbox not only offers seamless integration with the new KPN TV+ platform, but also a wide range of apps via the Google Play Store. In this way, the KPN TV+ Soundbox combines advanced functions with optimum ease of use and the device forms the heart of every living room.

Availability  

The KPN TV+ Soundbox is available from April 22. KPN offers exclusive access to this product, KPN TV+ subscribers can easily switch from the TV+ Box to the TV+ Soundbox for €6 per month extra via MyKPN.

This makes it easy for TV viewers to seamlessly zap from your favorite TV channel to Netflix, Disney+ or Videoland, and back to live TV.
