KPN introduces Internet at Work, an innovative solution for working from home tailored to companies and their employees

Employers increasingly offer benefits like gym memberships, lease bikes and internet connections

Today, KPN launches Internet at Work — an innovative solution for working from home that makes it possible for companies to respond to the growing demand for flexible forms of work. This allows employers to contribute to fast, reliable and secure KPN Internet connections for employees who work from home, which in turn leads to greater employee satisfaction. Internet at Work is set to bring the kind of innovations a growing number of large organizations are seeking to make in their employee benefits package.

“Hybrid work has become a crucial strategy for attracting and retaining top talent,” says Chantal Vergouw, member of KPN’s Board of Management and Chief Business Market. “Beyond popular benefits like gym memberships and lease bikes, we’re seeing a growing need for support for working from home. With Internet at Work, we enable large companies to provide optimal support for their employees, whether they are working in the office or from home. A fast and secure internet connection not only enhances team efficiency but also reduces costs for employees, positioning our customers as leaders in the job market.”

According to a recent survey by KPN among more than 300 HR decision-makers in the Netherlands, 33% of employers are already contributing to their employees’ internet costs. This contribution is usually made through a fixed benefit, either as a one-time payment or monthly payments. A further 37% of employers are considering implementing this in the short term or in the future. KPN’s Internet at Work solution allows employers to easily determine how much they want to contribute to the internet expenses of employees who work from home. If both the company and the employee are KPN customers, this contribution is automatically deducted from the employee’s monthly bill, making the process simple and transparent.

In addition to financial support for a fast and secure connection, Internet at Work offers employees access to an extensive helpdesk that does much more than provide internet connection assistance. Employees can quickly get back online if any problems arise, and employers can implement additional security measures to safeguard the use of company or cloud applications, regardless of where their employees are located.

With Internet at Work, KPN delivers a comprehensive solution that supports hybrid work, both financially and operationally. For more information and all the advantages, check out Internet at Work.
