State Secretary Van Huffelen visits KPN Security Operations Center

In conversation with KPN CISO Vladimir Cibic about offering resistance to cyber threats together

On Monday, 28 November Alexandra van Huffelen, State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization of the Netherlands, visited KPN’s Security Operations Center. She discussed the opportunities and risks of digitalization and resisting cyber threats with Vladimir Cibic, KPN’s Chief Information Security Officer. Cibic: “Digitalization offers us opportunities to address major societal issues. That is why we are committed to a safe, digital society every day. And we are doing that in cooperation with the government, business, and civil society organizations. Because security is a joint responsibility for all of us.

From the Security Operations Center, KPN monitors the Dutch ICT infrastructure of both KPN and its customers 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. From here, trained and experienced security specialists implement Anti-DDoS measures, detect any security incidents, and actively monitor the ICT infrastructure.
