KPN sponsors the seventh season of the largest online game show in the Netherlands 'Legends of Gaming'
With annual tournaments and spin-offs, “Legends of Gaming” is a phenomenon among Gen Zs and Millennials on YouTube
Today sees the start of the seventh season of the Netherlands’ largest gaming-platform ”Legends of Gaming” (LOG) on YouTube, created and produced by YouTube Agency Team5pm. With more than 540,000 subscribers, 170 million views and 22.5 million hours of viewing time (100% organic data), the online game show is a byword in the present-day gaming community on YouTube. After two home-produced seasons because of the pandemic, the seventh season was filmed in a brand-new studio with a new design and new influencers as so-called “Legends”. With provider KPN as its loyal lead sponsor, the YouTube series makes a great impact on Gen Zs and Millennials every year.
Legends of Gaming has now racked up seven seasons, 550 videos and more than 5.8 million likes. This has given the platform a permanent place in the YouTube gaming landscape. It has also been reaffirmed by national and international awards, such as the Grand Prix and The Lovie Awards. This popular program has also scooped up nominations for a Drum Award and YouTube Works Award. In the new season, eight renowned YouTubers and streamers will once again take part in game battles and challenges to determine who is the “Legend of Gaming”. As well as a new studio, re-branded design and a whole raft of influencers, season seven introduces a new element called the “Elimination Zone”, in which a Legend can be completely eliminated from the tournament. So, for the first time, the number of participants will decrease. This year, lead sponsor KPN and hardware supplier HP OMEN are once again proud partners of the online program.
