KPN chosen most sustainable brand in the Dutch Telecom sector

KPN has been declared the most sustainable brand in the Dutch telecom sector by the Sustainable Brand Index. This is the result of a large-scale survey by the Sustainable Brand Index among 6,600 Dutch consumers, who commended KPN. They have confidence in KPN and proof that sustainability and sustainable innovation are high on KPN’s list of priorities.

Sustainability has been an integral part of KPN’s strategy for over ten years. For instance, KPN has been using exclusively green power since 2011, has been climate neutral since 2015 and aims to be virtually circular by 2025.

“It’s a great boost that customers recognize and acknowledge our efforts in terms of sustainability,” says Brechtje Spoorenberg, Manager Corporate Social Responsibility at KPN. “Sustainability is important at KPN and we believe that in the long run, sustainable companies can guarantee continuity and still be profitable. Customers can always have confidence that choosing KPN means choosing sustainability. Take our 100% recycled remote control – it’s something we are immensely proud of.”

The Sustainable Brand Index is the biggest and most authoritative survey in Europe in the field of sustainability and consumer brands. It conducts an annual survey among 6,600 consumers In the Netherlands about their perception of the sustainability of 175 brands that are well known in the country. Brands are selected impartially on the basis of market share, sales and overall brand recognition.
