KPN announces changes in management structure

Summary

Today, Royal KPN N.V. (“KPN”) announces changes to its management structure including the Board of Management. To further strengthen KPN’s execution power in a rapidly changing market, KPN will manage its operations through an executive committee.

The position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be split into two new management roles: Chief Consumer Market and Chief Business Market. This will result in clear end-to-end responsibilities and a dedicated customer focus in the Consumer and Business segments. In anticipation of these changes, Mr Frank van der Post, currently Member of the Board of Management and CCO, has agreed with the Supervisory Board to align himself with these changes and will step down on 15 September 2018, a few months prior to the end of his term early next year. Following these changes, KPN’s Board of Management will consist of three members: Mr Maximo Ibarra (CEO), Mr Jan Kees de Jager (CFO) and Mr Joost Farwerck (COO).

Duco Sickinghe, Chairman of KPN's Supervisory Board:
"The Supervisory Board is grateful to Frank for his achievements. His focus on value and convergence in Consumer is delivering solid results and the transformation of the Business segment is taking shape. His expertise and dedication were instrumental in the strong improvement of KPN’s customer satisfaction over the past years. Frank also played a pivotal role in shaping a dedicated and centralized Data & Analytics team.”
