KPN obtains Digitenne license until 2030

Summary

KPN obtains the new license for digital ether television (Digitenne) until 1 February 2030. The Radiocommunications Agency (Agentschap Telecom) confirmed this today. Therefore, the continuity for hundreds of thousands of customers is guaranteed. The current license expires on 31 January 2017.

Digitenne provides for specific needs of a particular group of TV-customers. KPN wants to further develop Digitenne as an innovative offering in its TV-range (next to IPTV and Play. by KPN) based on the new technology DVB-T2. KPN expects that watching TV in HD quality via Digitenne will continue to fulfill specific customer needs going forward.
